THE PLACE - Is a renovated Edwardian home and still being improved. The pictures are old as there is now a cemicircular drive and nice veranda wrapped around the entire front of the home. This place is for those who love peace, nature/outdoors and a simple, yet polite, private, professional neighbourhood that is quiet and a "monastary-type" living! It is a a totally relaxed place surrounded by nature and the river YET.... Near the city of Geelong. It is about 1hr (in total) by bus then/including (about a restful ~30min) V-line Train to Wrribee VUT. This place offers people who like to live in peace - like perhaps a mature type/or senior students a place to reside in a well serviced part of Victoria, a short public transport journey to VUT, but in a leafy, pleasant and peaceful part of the world.
I'm happy to consider low weekly $$ support to the right person otherwise rent is between 150-200 p/w. I split utilities accordingly. Negotiable to the right fit. Bond is negotiable too but about $700. The house is on a nicely elevated, green, large block about 300 mtrs from the Barwon River. There is a strip of shops close by and a bus stop 100 mtrs from home. You are approx. 30 min walk to Sth Geelong Train station. You are approx. 10 min bus trip to Geelong city, Deakin (city campus - including TRAIN station) and Deakin, Waurn Ponds. You have supermarkets etc. Approx 20 minute walk away (5min drive). You are approx 30 min drive from Surf coast beaches. Geelong ring road is close too. Location is quiet and full of natural river walks, running tracks, rowing platform, and close to restaurant (Barwon Edge Boathouse) and Balyang Sanctuary. Sports facilities - kayaking, pool, tennis, BMX etc close by. Birds, occasional kangaroos etc make up this quiet location. You have 3 rooms to choose from. Home is semi-furnished. There is a large garage/4-place secure car parking.
LOOKING FOR: Preferably employed/professional, clean, non-party animal and RESPONSIBLE, type single person. No families/kids and non-smoker. Prefer no pets but can discuss. Long term lease to indefinite stay possible for the right person, but we will start with a 3- month lease and see how we blend.... However, I am often back and forth to for eg, work or playing sport. Any age, man/woman, nationality [including Asian - cher cher!! ] is OK. Thanks to those previous enquiries.
